Piazza del Collegio Romano is a public square in Rome, Italy located in the heart of the City on the west side of the Tiber River. It is renowned for being the former site of the papal college known as the Roman College, which was a center of learning founded in 1551 by Ignatius of Loyola and served as one of the key sites of the Counter-Reformation movement in the 16th and 17th centuries. The Piazza features two fountains and is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to enjoy a cup of the city's famous coffee or espresso. The Piazza features a number of cafes and bars with views of the nearby Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge and St. Peter's Basilica in the distance. It also has a great view of the Garibaldi Gardens and the Quirinal Palace to the west.
