Elettromotrice della ferrovia Roma-Fiuggi is a train system running between the cities of Rome and Fiuggi in the Lazio region of Italy. First opened in 1905, it was the first electrified railway system in Italy and is still in use today, connecting the two cities in just under an hour. The railway line runs along the Ponte di Sacco River, passing through scenic areas including the Tuscan-Lazio Apennines and the Valle dei Squarci Gorge. The unique architecture of the various stations includes a variety of classical, Art Nouveau and Baroque styles. The service is operated by Trenitalia and tickets can be purchased at all major train stations.
