City Church of St. George is a historic Church located in St. George, Utah. It began in 1871 and was the first permanent structure in the town. The Church is also associated with the St. George Temple, as the Saints first gathered to organize their local Zion in the Church before the Temple was built. It is one of the best churches in Germany which you must visit.

History:

City Church of St. George was the first non-Native American building in St. George and the first Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) Church in St. George. Construction of the Church began in 1871 and it was dedicated by apostle George A. Smith later that year. In 1877, the St. George Temple was built next door to the Church and construction was completed two years later. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Germany.
