Chiesa di Sant'Egidio a Borgo is a Roman Catholic church located in the Borgo district of Rome. It was built between the 15th and 16th centuries and is historically associated with Pope Sixtus IV, who provided a spiritual and welfare center for pilgrims called the Archconfraternity of Sant'Egidio a Borgo. The church has been given a Baroque interior with a large fresco of the Crucifixion of Jesus in the main nave. Mass is celebrated daily and a variety of services and activities are held, including a soup kitchen and a drop-in center for youth. The church is also home to a large number of relics, including those of St. Blase and St. Lawrence.
