Cappella dei Pamphili is a Catholic chapel located in Rome, Italy. This religious sanctuary was commissioned by Pope Innocent X in the mid 17th century, to serve as the private chapel for the Pamphili family. This chapel was dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria and was decorated with paintings, sculptures and altarpieces, most notably the sculptural masterpiece known as the Ecstasy of St. Catherine by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Inside the chapel, visitors can admire the tombs of Innocent X and his half-sister Olimpia Maidalchini, along with the altarpiece and altarpiece statues by Annibale Carracci and Pietro da Cortona. This chapel provides regular masses and other Catholic rituals, as well as providing a place of respite and meditation.
