is rooted in a small country church established in 1867 in the Pleasant Hill community near Cartersville, Georgia. In 1875, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church was constituted and the first church building, a white wooden structure, was erected on the grounds just north of the church's current location. Throughout the twentieth century, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church experienced much growth and spiritual renewal. In 1998, the church became part of the Georgia Baptist Convention and in 2005, it moved into its current home, a larger facility that enabled it to carry out its mission of reaching more people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
