History:

is a church with deep roots in the city of Macon, Georgia. Founded in 1820 and continuing today, we are the oldest church in continuous service in Macon. First Baptist Church of Christ is the capstone of the great Revival movement that swept through our city and the entire Middle Georgia region in the early nineteenth century. Under the leadership of our founding pastor, Rev. William Capers, we have remained faithful to our mission of teaching the scriptures and engaging in acts of love and service to those in our community.
