Iglesia Cristiana San Pedro de Macoris is a Pentecostal Christian church located in the Dominican Republic and founded in the provinces of la Altagracia and San Pedro de Macorís. This church was created in the early 1980s in response to the growing spiritual and religious needs of the people in the local area. The church grew rapidly and soon became the largest Christian denomination in the Dominican Republic. It currently has over 600,000 clergy, 4,500 congregations, and over 2 million church members. History:

Iglesia Cristiana San Pedro de Macoris was founded by Reverend Angel Eliezer Silva and his wife Josefina after they relocated to the Dominican Republic in the early 1980’s. Before arriving in the Dominican Republic, they had been pastors in Costa Rica and were chosen by the General Secretary of the Assemblies of God in the United States to fulfill their mission. It was the first Pentecostal denomination to be established in the Dominican Republic. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Dominican Republic.
