St. Procopius Church, Žďár nad Sázavou In Czechia is a baroque Roman Catholic pilgrimage church located in the center of the city of Žďár nad Sázavou in the Vysočina region of the Czech Republic. It is named after the Thirteenth-century Bohemian saint Procopius who lived in the town. The church dates from the mid-18th century and features a striking steepled atrium and a five-tiered altar in the center. The interior is adorned with a rich array of statues and frescoes. Pilgrimages to the shrine of Saint Procopius take place each August and often involve processions and other rituals. The church is opened for tourist visits during the summer months and church services are held on Sundays.
