The Troodos Geopark Visitor Centre in Cyprus first opened its doors in 2001. The visitor centre is located in the Troodos mountain range and is the first of its kind in the world to be both a visitor centre and a geopark. The centre was developed as a joint venture between the Troodos Regional Development Company (TRDC)and the Department of Forest and Soil Conservation of Cyprus.
