The Troodos Geopark Visitor Centre is located in the Troodos Mountains in Cyprus. It’s an interactive space created by the Natural History Museum of the University of Cyprus to introduce visitors to the world of geology, geomorphology, biodiversity, landscapes, and geological history of the Troodos Mountains. History:

The Troodos Geopark Visitor Centre in Cyprus first opened its doors in 2001. The visitor centre is located in the Troodos mountain range and is the first of its kind in the world to be both a visitor centre and a geopark. The centre was developed as a joint venture between the Troodos Regional Development Company (TRDC)and the Department of Forest and Soil Conservation of Cyprus. The Centre aims to highlight the unique geology and environment of the Troodos mountain range. It has two geological exhibitions, a geological garden and an observation area with several interactive displays and a bio-diversity centre. The visitor centre also provides access to many of the national parks and natural monuments found in Troodos, allowing visitors the opportunity to explore and learn more about the area’s natural beauty. The Centre has also contributed to the development of sustainable tourism in the region, and in 2003 it won the Ethos International award for Best Tourist Centre in the Mediterranean.
