History:
Lingsheng Temple, also known as Baiyun Tan (White Cloud Temple), is located at the foot of Cuiwei Mountain, south of Beijing. It has a long history, and is one of the four major temples in the capital. It has been destroyed several times during wars, but it was rebuilt over 100 years ago. Lingsheng Temple has hosted many well-known Buddhist and religious activities. It also houses some Buddhist scriptures, statues, and antiques. It is one of the most famous temples in Beijing. 1. Lingsheng Temple is located in Zhouzhi County, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, China. 2. Lingsheng Temple is a Taoist temple located on Mount Hongwang (Red King Mountain). 3. The temple was built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and is believed to be the oldest Taoist temple in China. 4. The temple contains many ancient Chinese artifacts including a giant 300 year-old stone stele, multiple stone reliefs with relief images of Taoist gods and goddesses, and the Hall of Merit and Virtue. 5. The temple is also home to one of the oldest Buddhist Pagodas in China, the Hebing Pagoda, which dates back to the year 821. 6. The temple complex also hosts multiple cultural activities throughout the year such as lion dance and tai chi performances. 7. Worship Method:
The main worship method practiced in Lingsheng temple is Guan Yin worship. Guan Yin is a highly revered Chinese Buddhist deity, and is also known as the Goddess of Mercy. Guan Yin worship at Lingsheng temple follows the traditional practices of earlier Jingtu or Pure Land Buddhism. These practices involve chanting, reciting sutras, and meditating. The main focus of worship is to cultivate virtue and to purify one's heart and mind. Additionally, offerings are made to Guan Yin and others who are revered, such as bodhisattvas, monks, and even deceased family members. This practice is a form of veneration, which is believed to bring about protection, good fortune, and peace. This most visited temple in China

Lingsheng Temple is located in Gaoyang County, Hebei Province, China. The closest airport to the temple is Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport, which is located approximately 40 km away.
