Huancavelica Historic Center is a World Heritage Site located in Peru, in the Huancavelica region of the country. The site consists of the main city of Huancavelica, three historical towns, and a number of archaeological sites. Huancavelica was a Spanish colonial administrative, religious, and commercial center from 1572 until the mid-nineteenth century, and its monuments and locations reflect all of these aspects of its history.
