The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cameroon officially began in 1907 with the arrival of seven French-speaking Seventh-day Adventist missionaries from France in Douala. In 1911, Africans, mainly from Nigeria, joined them, and the Cameron mission was born. In 1913, the first Cameroonian church was established in Douala, and in 1926 Evangelism by Cameroonian leaders was extended to the other areas of Cameroon.
