History:

In the 1930s, a French missionary priest named Father André Dacosta began to promote Catholicism in the village of Bilovèbe and the surrounding suburbs. He soon received permission from bishops to found the Church of Our Lady of Fatima in the area, and he dedicated it to the Virgin Mary, declaring that the head priest of the church would be her main representative. The church was officially dedicated in 1939, and services have been held in the building ever since. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Cameroon.
