Wat Ang Sila is a Theravada Buddhist temple located in Kandal Province, Cambodia. The temple’s worship methods involve chanting, prostrations, praying, and meditation. During regular worship, devotees gather at the temple and chant the Praksaram and discuss Buddhist teachings. After chanting, devotees will then prostrate themselves three times in front of the Buddha statue and chant, “Namo Tassa Bhawato Arahantawato Sammaa Sambuddhasso”. Then, devotees say a prayer to the Triple Gem – the Buddha, the Dharma (teachings), and the Sangha (community). After that, members of the congregation will recite Pali scriptures (the language of early Buddhism) and practice mindful meditation. Finally, the service ends with a dhamma blessing.
