The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary is a Roman Catholic church located in the Spanish city of Valencia. It is one of the oldest and most important churches in the city and dates from the 14th century, when the Dominicans arrived in Valencia. History:

The Dominican friars built the original Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in the mid fourteenth century. The building was enlarged later in the same century when the city's main university for theology was established. In the sixteenth century, the existing sanctuary was demolished and the project was taken up by Isidoro Ruiz. In 1606, under the supervision of architect Diego Pérez, the project to construct a new church dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary was completed. The church is now surrounded with a large stone wall which dates back to 1561, and was completed in 1650. The most remarkable features of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary are the series of immense Baroque-style altarpieces, the main one of which is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary of the Cross. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in CABO VERDE.
