Church VESSELS OF HONOR - Kodesh Center is a nonprofit organization that serves battered, vulnerable, and at-risk families and individuals, particularly those in the Orthodox Jewish community. It was founded by the husband and wife team of Rabbi Dr. Shalom and Rebbetzin Chaya Liss, in order to provide faith-based services to people in need. The Center is committed to promoting Jewish values such as respecting oneself, one another, and helping others to live within the faith. Kodesh Center offers a variety of programs and services such as individual and family counseling and recovery groups, a free food pantry, weekly learning classes, employment skills training, assistance in finding employment and housing, referrals to other services and health care professionals, and assistance with financial aid and rent assistance. The Center also provides educational and information sessions on topics including domestic violence, substance abuse, parenting, and mental health.
