Although the establishment was initially constructed in the 12th century, a fire in the late 1800s destroyed the structure, leaving just a single piece of the original edifice intact.  The original structure of Église de Saint Camille was built during the year 1150. After the restoration efforts that followed, Église de Saint Camille was declared a historical monument on July 2, 1897.
