Église catholique de Roumtenga is a Roman Catholic Church located in a small village of about 3000 people in Burkina Faso, West Africa. The parish serves a population of mostly indigenous Roumtenga and is the only Catholic church in the area. The church is dedicated to St. Jean Baptiste and was established in the 1950s by French missionaries. It is the only church in the area with a priest and the only place to access Mass each Sunday. The church also serves as the center of social life in the village and provides an assortment of community services including health care, education, legal assistance, and conflict resolution. The church is supported by the local government, Catholic schools and organizations, and foreign donations and volunteers.
