History:
The construction of the Eglise Saint Marc began sometime in the 12th century. An original chapel was built by the powerful Abbot Peter during his tenure at the church. By the 17th century, the building had fallen into disrepair and underwent extensive renovation and reconstruction. These renovations included a new ceiling, gilded detailing and exquisitely carved woodwork. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Burkina Faso.

Services:
The Eglise Saint Marc holds Mass on Monday to Saturdays at 12 noon and 7 pm. On Sundays, Mass is held at 8 am, 10 am, 11:30 am and 6 pm. Guided tours to the church are available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.This beautiful church in Burkina Faso has made a lot of significance in the past.
