Cathédrale Sacré Coeur is a large Roman Catholic cathedral located in the centre of Paris, France. It is known for its magnificent art deco interiors, stunning stained-glass windows, and soaring gilded dome. Construction of the cathedral began in 1921 and was completed in 1923. The main architect was Charles Siclis.

The idea of building a church dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Paris came from the archbishop of Paris in 1885. The first stone was laid in 1887 and six years later the project was abandoned due to lack of funds. After World War I a new project was launched in 1920 and construction began in 1921. The public was allowed to visit the cathedral for the first time in 1923. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Burkina Faso.
