Francistown Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Francistown, Botswana that was opened in April 1977. The stadium was remodeled and a new grandstand was built in 1996 to host the Francistown Council African Cup of Nations Qualifiers. The new stadium had a capacity of 4,000 spectators and hosted the African Club Championship held from 21–30 August. Since the 1990s, the stadium has increasingly been used for football matches, as well as hosting national and international athletics events. The stadium has been home to Premier League club TAFIC since 2000. The stadium has also been used for rugby matches, concerts, and motor cross. In recent years the stadium has undergone several renovations and upgrades. The most recent renovations to the stadium include the improvement of the main grandstand and VVIP boxes.
