Tiahuanaco Stadium is a football (soccer) stadium located in Tiahuanaco, Bolivia. It is the home stadium for local team Aurora FC and a venue for international matches such as World Cup qualifiers. The stadium was built in 1966, but was renovated in 2001-02. The renovation of the stadium was funded by the Bolivian government and a number of local and international organizations, including FIFA, who provided technical help, and the International Olympic Committee, which provided financial support. The total cost of the renovation was US$8 million. The renewed stadium was inaugurated in December 2002, with a match featuring the Bolivian national team.
