Saint Lambert's Chapel In Belgium is a chapel in Liège, Belgium that was built in the 8th century by Bishop Lambert of Maastricht. It is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Belgium and is a symbol of 10 centuries of Christian faith. It was William I, Count of Liège, who established the chapel in honor of the martyred bishop Lambert of Maastricht. It is one of the best churches in Belgium which you must visit.

History:

The chapel was built in 705, when Lambert was made the bishop of Liège. After his martyrdom it was used for his tomb and became a place of pilgrimage and a symbol of the martyrdom and the faith of Lambert. The chapel was rebuilt in 1135, and then again in 1667 in the Baroque style as it stands today. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Belgium.
