De Krijtberg is a Belgium church located in Brussels and is one of the oldest churches in the city. The building was first constructed in 1296 as a chapel and later transformed into a parish church in 1382. The church features an impressive Baroque architecture, with two towers, nine arches and a bells tower which was added in 1702. De Krijtberg is still in operation today, conducting several masses a day, and serving the surrounding community. The statuary at the church is also worth noting, particularly that of Saint John the Baptist, which dates back to 1638. The church also has several artworks and oil paintings from renowned painters. De Krijtberg also offers various services to its visitors, such as organizing retreats, concerts and even offering young people the opportunity to volunteer as part of its youth ministry.
