Church of the Transfiguration is an Orthodox Christian Church located in Ellwood City, PA. The church was founded in 1917 as a part of the jurisdiction of the Patriarchate of Constantinople and is presided over by Archbishop Nathaniel of Detroit and the Romanian Episcopate. The mission of the Church is to share the revelation of the Transfiguration of Christ to the world by offering the Christian faith in its purest form through prayer, worship, and instruction. This mission is expressed to the congregation through traditional liturgies, vibrant youth activities, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. History:

The Church of the Transfiguration was founded in 1917 by a small group of Greek immigrants who had come to the Ellwood City area. Today, the Church has a multi-ethnic composition but still serves as a touchstone for a proud Greek-American heritage.
