Comunidad Cristiana Saavedra was founded in 1999 when Pastor Miguel Saavedra Sr. saw a need for Christian outreach to the Spanish-speaking community in Miami. Pastor Saavedra purchased a building in a residential neighborhood nearby, and began regular services on Christmas Day 1999 with a group of 12 people. Over the next decade, Comunidad Cristiana Saavedra grew to become one of the largest Spanish-speaking churches in the city of Miami. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Argentina.
