At the Gurudwara Lohgarh Sahib, the traditional form of Sikh worship is practiced as guided by the teachings of the Sikh Gurus. Visitors to the Gurudwara reverently participate in the Akhand Path (the uninterrupted recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh holy book) and Ardas (the prayer offering). The Guru Granth Sahib is placed at the center of the worship gathering, surrounded by worshippers who meditate or sing sacred hymns. Other prayers such as Kirtan (devotional chanting accompanied by musical instruments) and katha (spiritual discourses) are also performed.
