In Gurudwara Shri Charan Kanwal Sahib - Amloh, worship is done according to Sikhism traditions and practices. Worship at Gurudwara Sahib begins with Asa-di- Var, which involves the chanting of Gurbani from the Guru Granth Sahib. Followed by Ardas (a type of prayer), sung by a team of Sikh clerics and male devotees. During Singing of Kirtan, hymns or shabads, are sung in Raag and accompanied by harmonium, tabla, and chimta. During the last part of Kirtan the main verses taken from Guru Granth Sahib are recited. Finally, Hukumnama (Divine Commands) is taken and read aloud. Langar (shared meal) is prepared after Kirtan and is served to devotees. It is followed by special prayers, concluding with a light snack of karah prasad shared among devotees.
