The worship method of Baba Balak Nath Temple in Kullu, Himachal-Pradesh includes a traditional puja ceremony which includes reciting of mantras, offerings, and other customary rituals. Devotees usually begin the puja by lighting deepa (oil lamps) and agarbathis (incense sticks), and then visit the inner sanctum to offer their prayers with reverence to Lord Baba Balak Nath. Prasad, such as fruits, flowers, and sweets are offered to the deity. Before the aarti, aarti thalis are lit with a cloth over it and with a bowl of water. After performing aarti, the devotees offer Prasad to Lord Baba Balak Nath and seek His blessings. A special feature of the puja is the offering of the paan (betel leaves) to the deity which symbolizes devotion and divine blessings.
