Horror Story of Pszczyna Castle - Pszczyna
, Poland
Centuries old, Pszczyna Castle lurks in the backwoods of Poland. Regal and imposing yet disheartening and ominous, the castle has been synonymous with tragedy for as long as anyone can remember. Local legend claims a cluster of spirits haunt the grounds: a brother and sister, cursed to remain within the walls after they confided in their dark secret.
The brother, born with a terrible deformity, was kept away from society, hidden within the castle. His sister, determined to free her brother from his clandestine prison, devised a plan. As the night turned to morning, she secretly spirited away her brother from the castle and took him to the nearby town.
Meanwhile, in the castle, an angered spirit was unleashed and began to seek revenge. All of Pszczyna felt the wrath of the spirit as it lurked through the darkest corners of the castle. Tales spread of elsewordly creatures emerging from shadows, screaming out in terror, or simply vanishing into thin air.
In the midst of this horror, an unlikely hero emerged: a courageous and wise boy, gifted with the divine prophetic power of seeing what was imperceptible to others. He realized the only way to free the town of this terror was to return the brother to the castle. With the help of the gods, he was successful, and the malevolent spirit was finally greatful enough to be contained once again.
Today, the spirits slumber peacefully once more, and tourists flock to the castle to witness the beauty of its architecture and learn of its regal past. Those who want to experience a little more adventure, however, may feel a chill when the wind passes by, for a reminder of darkness that still lingers in the shadows.
