The demon would only accept one tribute for its release – the head of the brave warrior. Kyabarol bravely offered himself as a sacrifice in order to save his people, and the demon accepted. To prove its power, the demon did not simply take Kyabarol’s head – it sealed his spirit in a gold pendant.To this day, the cursed village of Kabarole District remains cloaked in darkness, and it is said that if the pendant is ever broken, Kyabarol’s spirit will be released and the demon will once again be set loose.
