I recently visited this museum and was pleasantly surprised to find it is a great place to learn about the history of Dufferin County.The museum is housed in a beautiful original log cabin, and also includes two other significant buildings: an early 1800’s log schoolhouse and an 1860’s clapboard house. The displays consist of period furniture, clothing and artifacts that help visitors understand what life was like in the past. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and there are even costumed interpreters on hand to make learning fun.The grounds of the museum also have some lovely gardens and a playground. There are also special events and activities throughout the year.My family and I had a lovely visit to the Dufferin County Museum.
