The villagers of Rajnagar Upazila in Moulvibazar used to live a peaceful life in the past. But, the peace was broken one night when an eerie fog descended upon the village. People who ventured out in the fog never returned. Terrified by the disappearances, the villagers took refuge in their homes and refused to leave even to get food or water.
Days passed by and the villagers' fear reached its peak when a villager stepped outside to fetch some food for his family. He returned with an eerily distorted face with the eyes locked at the same spot and murmuring something inaudible. He died soon enough and everyone realized that the fog was far more than meets the eye.
The villagers soon found out that the fog was not natural, but was created by an evil spirit that constantly roams around the town. Legend had it that the spirit feeds on human fear and has been attacking and devouring the villagers since centuries. The spirit had also possessed the villagers and made them his vessels. Now, if any villager risked stepping out during the fog, the spirit would possess them and make them his prisoner.
For years, the villagers suffered under the horrible curse of the spirit until a brave woman sacrificed herself to slay the evil entity. She filled her heart with courage, stepped out into the fog and confronted the spirit. In a dramatic battle of good vs evil, she managed to defeat the spirit and free the villagers from its torment.
The villagers celebrate the victory of good over evil till this day. Even today, whenever fog rolls into the town, the people of Rajnagar Upazila, Moulvibazar, stay alert and stay safe.It is one of the most haunted places in bangladesh

Rajnagar is an Upazila of Moulvibazar District in the Sylhet Division, Bangladesh. It is one of the 15 Upazilas of Moulvibazar District.
History
The area of Rajnagar was part of the Tipura kingdom in ancient times. After the Mughal conquest of Indian Subcontinent, the land was subsequently governed by the British East India Company. Following the division of Bengal in 1905, the district of Moulvibazar was formed and Rajnagar was declared an Upazila in 1983.
Geography
Rajnagar is surrounded by Kulaura Upazila to the north, Sreemangal Upazila to the east, Barlekha Upazila to the south-east, Kamalganj Upazila to the south, and Juri Upazila to the west. The upazila lies between 24°16' and 24°32' north latitudes and in between 90°55' and 91°14' east longitudes. It has a total area of 248.52km2.
Demographics
Rajnagar has a population of 167,868 as of the 2011 Bangladesh Census. The literacy rate of the Upazila is 54%.
Economy
The economy of Rajnagar is reliant on remittance from abroad. Other primary activities include agricultural production and timber production.
Transport
The main mode of transport within the upazila is by road. The main highway is Dhaka-Sylhet Highway. There is no railway line in the area.
