The Castle of Franchimont is a castle located in the Belgian municipality of Franc-Waret in the province of Namur in Wallonia. The castle, once a strategic stronghold, is mentioned for the first time in 1162. Built on a rocky crest, it was at the time the most important stronghold of the Ansembourg family, an influential family in the county of Looz.
