Horror Story of Casa Botella, Escazú
, Costa Rica?
Once upon a time in the small town of Casa Botella, located in Escazú, Costa Rica, there lived a family with three children. Life for this family seemed quite ordinary until one cold autumn evening when strange and eerie occurrences began to take place.
The family started noticing strange shadows appearing at their windows, along with a strange light which moved swiftly around the house during the night. When the youngest child, Jorge, looked out his bedroom window he saw a woman in a long, white dress hovering mere inches away from the window. Terrified, Jorge quickly shut the shutters and ran to find his parents.
The family soon realized this was no ordinary spirit and it had something important to tell them; the land which their house is built upon was once the burial ground of a 16th century witch named Clara Botella. For hundreds of years her spirit had been trapped in the land until the family had broken the curse that was placed on the land and unwittingly released the witch who vowed to take her revenge on the innocent family.
Every night the supernatural presence became stronger, and soon it became clear the family was in danger. But they found a way to stand up to the witch and fight back against her frightening spirit. Gathered around the fireplace, the family recited a ritual to contain the supernatural forces for good, and luckily the ritual worked.
Although the family had their happy ending, stories of Clara Botella still spread throughout Casa Botella, and many of its inhabitants remain on alert though nothing like this has been seen again.
