Horror Story of Château de Resteigne
The Château de Resteigne was said to be a cursed place ever since it was built centuries ago by an eccentric, yet sinister, nobleman. Legends around the castle tell of nighttime prowlers and a wickedness that dwells within, beckoning the unwise to step inside.
It is said that in the village below, locals could hear screams echoing out from the castle late at night, and a thick fog like none other would blanket the area, bringing an unwelcome chill. But few dared to enter, for at one time or another, anyone who had ventured past the gate never returned.
That is, until a young man, oblivious to the forbidding warnings of the locals, decided to take a peek inside. As he wandered through the halls, he heard the eerie whispers of ancient voices. He made his way into a large room, only to find himself staring face to face with the Nobleman who constructed the castle. He was centuries old, his pale skin as wrinkled as the bark of a tree. He asked the young man one question: Will you enter the castle's depths, if I promise you untold wealth?
Thinking only of the money, the young man said yes, but little did he know that his descent into the bowels of the Château de Resteigne would unleash an evil that had been dormant for centuries. Never before had such evil run wild like it did that night. Animals turned on humans, and the dead rose from the graves. In the chaos of the destruction, the man found himself with a bag of gold, the payment for his foolishness. He ran through the woods, fleeing for his life, and never looked back.
To this day, the Château de Resteigne continues to haunt the area, and locals still warn of unspeakable evil that lurks within.
