The Château de Bois-Seigneur-Isaac, in Boësse, is an old castle located in the commune of Zwalm in Belgium. It was built in the 11th century by knight Hugues de Pierpoint and was extended by his son Jean-Baptiste.
In 1428, the castle was purchased by Jean-Louis de Bois-Seigneur-Isaac, whose family would own it until 1790. During the 18th century, the castle was remodeled in the Louis XVI style. Traces of this style can still be seen in some of its buildings.
In the 19th century, the castle and its grounds became the property of Count Adrien Delecourt. The castle was then purchased by the De Villermont family, and in 2019, it was taken over by the Valentin-Valdenaire family, owners of the nearby Château de Gruuthuse.
The castle grounds include a French gardens, numerous ponds, woodland, vegetable gardens, and outbuildings. The main building is composed of four wings, with the two towers of the castle standing in the center. It is still open to visitors and is used as a venue for private and corporate events.
Today, the castle is a protected historical monument. It is also listed in the Inventory of Wallonia as an architectural heritage of the Walloon Region.
