Subsequently, the castle was acquired by Professor Schmidheiny in 1940 and has been carefully and tastefully restored. The Château de Bogis-Bossey is composed of two structures, the two-tier castle and a two-story residence. The castle, with a tall, defensive deep round tower, is the oldest part of the complex. The residence, built in 1780, has a baroque-style façade and large, open rooms that can be rented for events. Today the Château de Bogis-Bossey is partly open to the public.
