Finally, after much deliberation, a group of brave souls decided that the only way to restore peace and safety to Kasese was to hunt down the beast and slay it. It was a terribly dangerous task, but the people had no other choice.
With torches in hand, the group ventured into the night and found the beast. A fierce battle ensued, but ultimately the brave men and women of Kasese emerged victorious. The beast had been slain and the curse threatened to blight Kasese no longer.
The people of Kasese breathed a collective sigh of relief and for many years the town returned to its peaceful state.

Kasese is a town in the Western Region of Uganda. It is the Main Municipality and administrative capital of Kasese District. The town is located on the western slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains, close to the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo and about 230 kilometers (144 miles) west-northwest of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city.
