The villages would often hear tales of the demon kidnapping people, especially at night. When these unlucky souls eventually returned, they reported that they were taken on a harrowing journey down deep into the forests of Kapchorwa, never to be seen again.
No one knew for sure why the demon had chosen the district as its home, or if it had always been there under the earth.
